Ana-Marija Brkić
Soprano
Ana-Marija Brkić is an Austrian-Croatian soprano currently living in the Netherlands. She completed her studies in stage performance, in art song and oratorio as well as in vocal pedagogy at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna. Currently she is taking private lessons with Nenad Marinković.She has won first prizes in the competitions Prima la musica and MusicaJuventutis and taken masterclasses with musicians like Emma Kirkby, MarjanaLipovšek, Benoît Dratwicki and Jory Vinikour. On stage she has performed the roles of Puss in boots (Cui, childrens’ opera ’Puss in boots’), Aloés (Chabrier ’L’Étoile’), Zerlina (Mozart ’Don Giovanni’) and Dorinda (Handel ’Orlando’). In 2015 she began a collaboration with Predrag Gosta and Marijana Mijanović, as a soloist within the New Belgrade Opera. With the Kölner Akademie she has recorded ’St. Matthew’s passion’ by J.H. Rolle. Over the last few years she has given lots of performances with various ensembles, such as Company of Music under Johannes Hiemetsberger i.a. in the Wiener Konzerthaus and Momentum Vocal Music under Simon Erasimus. In 2019 she has performed as a soloist within the festival Resonanzen in the Wiener Konzerthaus. Apart from early and contemporary music, she is interested in art song and Bosnian sevdah as well.
