Kateřina Blížkovská
Chant et guitare baroque
Kateřina Blížkovská is a Czech singer, choral conductor and baroque guitarist. Since 2021, she has been studying early music singing with Nicolas Achten at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles, and choral conducting with Luc Anthonis in Antwerp.
She has been invited to sing with ensembles such as Collegium Vocale Gent, European Hanseatic Ensemble, Currende and others, as a soloist and chorister. In the early years of her career, she performed at festivals such as Automne musical de Spa, Musiq3 and the International Bach Contius Festival.
She perfected her skills in various master classes with the Collegium Vocale Gent, Hanseatic Ensemble Lübeck and the Queen Elisabeth Chapel, and with artists such as Dorothee Mields, Inge Spinettemet and Peter Kooij.
Thanks to her varied musical education, both in academies and at the Berlin University of the Arts in music pedagogy, her musical practice is rich and diversified. It was in this spirit that Kateřina Blížkovská co-founded the traditional music group Four Beers and a Glass of Wine, wrote her own songs, and founded her own ensembles such as Ensemble Catharsis and Ensemble Ruah.
