The instrumental and vocal music of the French Baroque is at the heart of the 2021 edition of Prangins Baroque.

By blending it with dance and theater, we will reveal all its finesse and dramatic potential.

We present two concerts in the church of Prangins, as well as an open air closing concert in the courtyard of the Castle of Prangins. All these events are open to the public and free of charge. A performance for young audiences, offered to the students of the primary schools of Nyon Jura and Prangins, will complete the program of this year’s edition..

Beforehand, for five days our artistic team — composed of recognised specialists of the Baroque period — will instruct and prepare previously selected young, international talents. These ateliers are also open to the public and invite everyone to come and witness a creative process of the highest quality.

This year, the artistic team includes several exceptional artists: Emmanuel Resche-Caserta is a renowned baroque violinist. Notably, he is concertmaster of the celebrated baroque orchestra Les Arts Florissants. Florian Carré, harpsichordist - vocal coach, also works regularly with Les Arts Florissants as well as with many other internationally renowned baroque ensembles.

As French baroque music is closely linked to dance, we have invited Pierre-François Dollé, a prominent choreographer and dancer who specialises in historical dance. He will collaborate with dancer Marie-Nathalie Lacoursière. For the performance for young audiences, he will be assisted accompanied by the actress Géraldine Moreau-Geoffrey. Constanza Meza-Lopehandia will enhance the visual aesthetics of the performances with her costume creations.

These esteemed guests will join the team that has already contributed to the success of our first edition: Kateryna Sokolova, stage director; Dušan Toroman, harpsichordist; and Marijana Mijanović, contralto and artistic director of Prangins Baroque.

Together they will ensure an unforgettable experience for our audience.
