Carles Dorador I Jové

Carles Dorador i Jové is a lutenist, percussionist and musicologist specialising in the historical repertoires of the East and West.
He began his musical studies with traditional percussion and classical guitar at the at Barcelona's Municipal Conservatory. He went on to study for a Bachelor of lute, theorbo and basso continuo with Laura Monica Pustilnik at the CNSM in Paris, followed by a Master's degree in performance and pedagogy at the Haute École de Musique de Genève.
At the same time, he specialised in playing the oud with Gani Mirzo, at the Conservatoire de Musique orientale de Paris. He obtained a Bachelor's degree in Musicology University of Sorbonne, and specialised in historical percussion at the at the Accademia di Arti Antiche Resonars in Assisi, Italy, with Massimiliano Dragoni, then at the HEM in Geneva with Massimo Laguardia.
As a concert artist, he has performed with the Cappella Mediterranea, the Orchestre de radio France, the Orchestre de Chambre de Genève and Chiome d'Oro to name but a few.
Carles Dorador i Jové is currently active in various ensembles in Europe. He is regularly invited to give lute and chamber music master classes at the Seehaus Castle Baroque Festival in Germany.
