Fernando Rosa De Almeida
Violon baroque
Fernando Rosa De Almeida was born in Brazil and studied baroque violin at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in the class of Mira Glodeanu. For lack of other baroque violinists in the region, he began to read baroque treatises and experimented with his violin. Very quickly he participated in baroque productions as a first violinist, notably in the premiere of Membra Jesu Nostri de Buxtehude in the capital of Brazil in 2012.
While studying music pedagogy at the University of Brasilia (UnB), he was a founding member of the Camerata de Música Antiga da UnB where he remained for five years as first violinist. He was also often invited for the same task at the Federal University of Goiás.
During a trip to Europe in 2019, Michel Coppé invited him to do his Professional Orientation Cycle at the CRR of Besançon, where he obtained his Diploma of Musical Studies in historical violins in 2021.
Fernando Rosa De Almeida has participated as a violinist and violist in concerts and projects notably in France, Germany and Belgium with important musicians such as Chiara Banchini, David Plantier and Sigiswald Kuijken.
