Kiele Sacco
Clavecin
American harpsichordist, Kiele Sacco is a candidate for a MMus in the historical performance department at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.
Previously, she attended a Master program at the University of North Texas for harpsichord and studied with Bradley Bennight, while also being a fellow for early vocal ensemble, Vox Aquilae. She received two Bachelors from Indiana University, where she majored in computer science and harpsichord, studying under Elisabeth Wright.
Recent UK music involvement consists of appearances at Benslow Music, the London International Festival of Early Music, and the Dartington Summer School. She has worked with Emma Kirkby, Judy Tarling, John Butt and others.
She currently pursues harpsichord studies with James Johnstone and Nicholas Parle, with particular interest in Louis Couperin, and early 18th century music. She is currently examining how practising with historical temperaments affects different aspects of harpsichord playing using a combination of historical and practice-based approaches.
This summer Kiele Sacco will be participating in the Baroque Orchestra at the Music Summer School and Festival with Steven Devine.
